Why are demons so easy to make friends with?

one thing i have been wondering lately regarding a teaching of the org (and other christians) regarding demons... why is it they so easy to contact, make friends with and have them full on involved in your life on an almost immediate and daily basis?.

why is it you can pray to god, jesus, angels, whoever, during an entire lifetime of offering them loyal devoted and unswerving service yet not one time in say 50 years of this lifestyle will you ever get a response, hear a peep, see even a wisp of a vision or even get the faintest hint of unquestionable interaction from god..?.

yet on the other hand demons are ready and willing to engage and befriend you in a heartbeat, touch you, talk to you, even molest you in your bed at night, give you gifts, talents, charm and worldly success simply after buying an old mirror, a bit of tatty furniture or a dishevelled book from some dusty old second hand goods store, or simply watching a scary movie or listening to a sexy rock song... .

Elders are Complicit with WT Society in Child Abuse Scandals- Gonzalo Campos Case

of course, most of us realize this.

however sometimes even on this board sometimes threads have stated that the jw elders have been occasionally painted as the " fall guys " who take the rap for the wt society leaders - which of course is true - to a degree.

however- that being said , many times elders have failed to protect - or even have failed to advocate for child abuse victims when it has been within their power to do so.

Hi flipper, I know of two cases of child abuse in my cult life that elders swept under the carpet years ago until I came along and made it known. The Wt. has worked very hard to keep this all under wraps. Like all cults it's all about them and they can care less about everyone else. What they may say is not what they do. I remember a conversation I had with a CO around 2005 about child abuse and he told me it was not that bad in the Wt. org. That there was only a few cases of it worldwide. I said to him I must know all of them when I told him of 7 cases I knew about. He had this scared look come over his face and then he changed the subject. The crack of doubt got bigger for me at this time. When in the org. I never could understand why the Wt. did not take this head on and be honest about it. I now realize it is a CULT and this is what CULTS do. Take care. Still Totally ADD

On the History Channel the other day they played the doc. of the rise and fall of Nazis Germany. One of the things that caught my attention was all young boys whether they was ready or not was required to be part of the Nazis Hitler youth group. This way they could indoctroate them in the Nazis way at a very young age. The mind set of Hitlers Germany was a Cult. The things he did is very similar to the mind set the WT has. Demonize everything that is not like them and if you don't like it and leave you will die. Remember the WT is a Cult. Still Totally ADD

Looking for ideas.

i received an email from one of the elder in the local congregation.

i am not dfed so there is not a problem there, i am just an aggressive fader.. one of the last things i said to this elder before i stopped all activities was that i do not agree with the borg taking all the assets from the congregations.. here is what the elder said in the email:.

"i recently saw something while looking through the jw broadcasting for the month of may and i though about you.

This is the new tool of the elders. Instead of saying read the Wt. so and so they now say did you watch the new GB TV show? All you questions will be answered. Same old crap just a new tool to use. Still Totally ADD

New Watchtower-- the End is coming in our lifetime again now??

they just posted the simplified august study watchtower on jw.org.. paragraph 11 of the "expectation!

" article says this:.

"so even if we feel that we have been waiting a long time, this does not mean that the end is far away or that it is not coming in our lifetime.".

They are right the end will come in our life time. Just think where will all of us be 100 years from now? So see the end will come in our life time. Still Totally ADD

if you were a young brother in the late 60's you then remember the burden of the draft and the prospect of going to jail for refusing on religious grounds to be called up.

in those days we were taught that to do community service was conscientiously the same as joining the military and so we were told to refuse such exemptions.

I remember those days. I am soon to be 61 and I graduated from school in 1972. I know I was to young to go to prison in the 1960's but I was raised to believe I would go to prison as soon as I got out of high school. I would visit brothers in prison down in Springfield MO when I was a teenager. That would cause a lot of stress on me. Thinking about how would I be able to do this when I got older. I remember how many of my male peers in school was looking forward to college or great job, I was looking forward to going to prison for my faith. I would ask myself "Why do I have to go through this at such a young age when all the older ones did not have to?". It affected my life in many ways. I was very good at speed typing when in school and I wanted a electric type writer. My parents made me get a manual type writer because I would not have a electric plug for a electric typewriter in my jail cell. It was a hell of a way to grow up. Watching the war on TV and the mental games the cult played on our young minds. At 18 I had to go to the local draft board and sign up for the draft. The three old men that ran it threaten me with jail if I did not go into the service. Then by elders at that time took me aside and told me when I was drafted I would have to go to the place to be sworn in and refuse to do it and meet the consequences. So much stress. It made me sick. I was so happy to get a high lottery number and I went to a 1-A to a 1-H classification. This was in 1972 by then the war was turning and by 1975 it was all over. This event has in many ways left a scar in my life. The teaching of the WT in the 1990's did make me to start thinking but it took many years for me to wake up. You all really brought out a memory I thought I have forgotten. Don't worry I am glad you did. For all those who faced prison or was in prison because of the cults teaching my heart goes out to all of you. Take care. Still Totally ADD

Heaven I will do my best to get you some pictures. My wife will have to help me with that. Also I have a friend who will be teaching me more about permaculture this summer. My lasagne is a big part of it. Happy Gardening.

flipper you are so lucky to have a Mom you can talk to. After all the things you went through having that is priceless. As a fellow survivor re-educating our mind is on the top of the list to do when cleaning out all the garbage from the cult. It always makes my wife and I laugh when one of our new friends try to understand the cult thinking. They look at us as if our faces have turned green and we have grown a extra head. Seeing that always makes us both feel good for what we are doing. Take care and have a great get together this summer. Still Totally ADD

Thank you Xanthippe for your thoughts. I guess I wrote this subject wrong. I was not looking for comfort but to get everyone to think about what this cult has really done to all of us. No matter what happen to them. I am glad you are doing better. As they say one day at a time. Good luck to you.

Heaven I hope you are wrong that this group can get worse but I see were you are coming from. We all need to speak out on this subject. As far as the garden goes after a hard, hard winter I am now getting ready for this summer garden. I will be building a 10 x 20 ft. greenhouse next month. So I can do winter gardening. I remember when I signed up on this site as Totally ADD which was 5 years ago plus. I had a horror story to tell about the abuses I went through as a child in this cult. Since then mentally I am much better. For the most part what I have notice is my story was not uncommon among the many who was a born-in or who parents came into the cult when they was a small child. Yes their was those who had a good life but that was the exception and not the rule. To my surprise many of the stories were far worse than what I went through. I guess what I am trying to say is. How much worse can this cult get when it comes to the abuses it has allowed to happen to innocent children? When it comes to the term child abuse I am in agreement with what Christopher Hitchens had to say on this matter. ("Child abuse" is really a silly an pathetic euphemism for what has been going on: we are talking about the systematic rape and torture of children, positively aided and abetted by a hierarchy which knowingly moved or ("protected" my words) offenders to parishes where they would be safer. )

This in part shows the WT religion always functions to ensure its own survival. While it may espouse various ideas about brotherhood, love and community, these are always secondary to the WT survival. Think about this. If your training in the JW cult was anything like mine, chances are much of it was downright immoral. Immoral in the sense that the values that were taught were racist, sexist, insulting and cruel to other groups, and misleading if not downright wrong about human relationships, sexuality, science, education, other religions and many other things. We must remember the systematic rape and torture of children is only a part of the mental health issues caused by the JW cult. How much hatred, suspicion, conflict, strife, even violence and death, is caused by this cult? How many families are torn apart by this cult? How many children are terrorized by the demon-haunted world they are forced to inhabit?

By exposing the manipulations of the WT cult, an opportunity for greater choice and freedom is opened for all of us. Author Darrel W. Ray, Ed.D. wrote in his book "The God Virus" (Being alive today is the only thing you or I know. We are the product of an amazing biological process in which on sperm out of millions met one egg. This event will never happen again. Make the most of it.) What life we all have left please do what you need to do to make it a happier and better world in which we live in and if we can help others who are still part of this horrible cult. Still Totally ADD
